Tracking king eiders across Nuuk Fjord
King Eiders are highly wary birds, making it challenging to get within shooting range. To maximize success, we move cautiously—both in the water and on the boat—carefully approaching the birds without alarming them.
Several factors influence how close we can get on any given day, including wind, weather conditions, tides, and overall visibility. Some days, the birds are more approachable, while on others, they are particularly difficult to close in on from the boat.

For optimal succes
When conditions make boat hunting more challenging, we have the option to set up decoys and hunt from land. This is not only an effective alternative but also a preferred method for some hunters.
Additionally, we offer the opportunity to hunt from a smaller open skiff, which can significantly increase the chances of getting within range.
By combining these three approaches—boat hunting, land-based hunting with decoys, and skiff hunting—we provide our hunters with the best possible conditions for a successful King Eider hunt.

Leaving with unforgettable memories
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Depart with memories of thrilling hunts, stunning landscapes, and the camaraderie of fellow hunters.
